Pain Management – It’s Game Over For Pain

Any parent will agree that video gaming is one of the biggest distractions ever invented. They are attention-grabbing, time-consuming and extremely addictive. Attempts and pleas to make a child stop while playing an exciting video game will probably be futile. Now, the worst bane of school nights has found its way to pain management clinics – in the form of 3-D virtual reality games. Though it is not exactly the video game console found in our homes, doctors are investing and banking on the same effects that these video games have given children over the years – distraction, immersion and fixation. Only this time, these effects are even more intensified since 3-D virtual reality gaming makes a person think and believe that he is actually and physically participating in the game itself.

It forces us to wonder, when did being too engrossed or distracted become a good thing? Distraction has always been a good thing when it comes to pain management. It is well-settled that pain becomes more manageable and tolerable when a person takes his mind off the pain. Studies reveal that by playing 3-D virtual reality games, acute pain in both children and adults are significantly reduced. Also, stress and anxiety are greatly diminished or even completely removed. With these findings, 3-D virtual reality games will find useful application in painful medical procedures such as chemotherapy and in performing relatively simple yet challenging procedures on children such as drawing of blood. 3-D virtual reality games will also prove to be extremely useful in physical therapy. Experiments also confirm that patients who were undergoing physical therapy and played 3-D virtual reality games ignored or did not pay too much attention to pain. On the other hand, those who did not play felt significantly more pain since they remained anxious and focused on the pain.

But why 3-D virtual reality games and not just ordinary video games or other form of distraction? After all, experiments show that ordinary video games can be used to alleviate pain by mere distraction. 3-D virtual reality games, however, are not just about distracting the brain from feeling the pain. Studies show that persons who are engrossed in 3-D virtual reality games experience so much fun and excitement which causes the brain to release endorphins. Endorphins are chemicals which are released by the pituitary gland. Endorphins are characterized by a feeling of well-being. They react and occur in the same areas of the brain where pain signals originate. It is also well-accepted that production of endorphins reduce stress and other unpleasant sensations including pain. Using other forms of distraction such as playing ordinary video games on a flat-screen TV did not prompt the release of endorphins and were not as effective in reducing pain.

With all these benefits in mind, it won’t be long before we start seeing 3-D virtual reality games in hospitals, clinics and pain management centers.

Reduce Knee Pain With Infrared Light Therapy

It is a well-known fact that we all need light in order to be healthy. But these days we are learning just how important light really is, and that it can be used to treat a number of health conditions, from mental health to physical pain. Natural light helps to provide some of the nutrition we need, and it plays a role in our mental health. This therapy can be a wonderful tool for helping to keep your body and mind healthy, and can help ease certain ailments, ranging from pain to depression. Many people are using light therapy to treat a number of aches and pains, including knee pain, which can be quite excruciating, depending on the type of injury.

What is Infrared Therapy?

This is basically the simulation of natural light using various sources of artificial light that are similar to natural light. It is a proven method of pain relief, and you will find many people visiting clinics to have light therapy treatments. Basically, infrared light is used to warm and relax the muscle tissues, and it is a perfectly safe method of pain relief, which, unlike many painkilling drugs, is not addictive or harsh on the body. It has been proven very effective in the treatment of knee pain, as well as many other types of physical pain.

Therapy at Home

Although you can visit a clinic to have light treatments, this is something that, unless you have a great health plan that covers a lot, is going to become quite expensive. You can save yourself a lot of money by using a light system at home. These units are easy to use, and not only are you going to be saving money, you will also be having your light therapy in the comfort of your own home, which for many is a really big deal. If you are interested in light therapy and like the idea of being able to do it yourself at home, you may want to look into the Lumiwave Infrared Light Therapy Device, which is small and lightweight, but really does the trick when it comes to knee pain management. This is a deep tissue light therapy device that helps to provide relief from knee pain without any harmful or negative side effects.

At less than $500, this device will really save you money in the long run, and you will be able to have light treatments whenever you like, at your own schedule. And you only need to use it a couple of times per day for just ten minutes at a time. You will be able to adjust the temperature yourself, and the Lumiwave Infrared Light Therapy Device will shut off on its own, so if you happen to fall asleep, you don’t have to worry about the device still operating. Because it is portable, if you are on the go, you can take it with you just about anywhere, and you can even use it at work.

Chiropractic Treatment

Chiropractic treatment has been around for just over 125 years. Yet, it is still one of the most misunderstood treatment options in America. This fact probably stems from bad press.. some deserved and some not so.

Let me explain… In the mid 1930’s there existed two professions that focused on the correlation between proper spinal function and health. They were really two different organizations that did basically the same thing. Chiropractic and Osteopathy. Both professions, at that point in their existence focused entirely on manipulation of the spine in order to restore proper bodily function. During that time period, the AMA offered both societies the opportunity to join them. The only caveat… they would both have to include the use of medication in their treatment of patients. The osteopaths agreed, the chiropractors stuck to their roots and said no. Unfortunately, the AMA did not think too kindly to rejection. It wasn’t as if the early chiropractors were dissing the AMA, it was just that they wanted to give people a separate and distinct alternative for health care.

Along the way, the chiropractic profession has suffered a tremendous amount of bad press along with serious negativity from most family physicians. It is easy to understand why… up until the 1980’s it was an ethics violation for medical doctors to even share records with a chiropractor. This all came to a head with a landmark court case in which the AMA, among others were found guilty of violating Sherman Anti trust laws.. ie. trying to monopolize the health field. ( for all the details see Wilk v. American Medical Association, 895 F.2d 352 (7th Cir. 1990), was a federal antitrust suit brought against the American Medical Association (AMA) and 10 co-defendants by chiropractor Chester A. Wilk, DC, and four co-plaintiffs. It resulted in a ruling against the AMA.

After the lawsuit came to an end, medical doctors were forced to share records with chiropractors, but the damage was already done. There were fully two generations of people who were brainwashed into thinking that chiropractic was dangerous and had no benefit for people. That has been very difficult to overcome for the chiropractic profession, because of the inbred bias against the profession. To be accurate, lets note that in the early 1940’s and 1950’s the education and training of chiropractors was much different than current day., So, at that time, some of the bad press was probably warranted. However, today, chiropractors are licensed in all 50 states and are very well trained. There is much more rigorous control on all doctors of all disciplines in today’s world. That is a good thing, because patients need to have the assurances that they are receiving treatment from highly qualified professionals.

To give you a very small description as to why chiropractic care should be utilized in order to have the best health possible, consider the following….. Our brains control all functions of our body…No argument there. Over 90% of the information coming out of the brain travels through the spinal column before it goes to the vital cells, organs, and tissues of the body. In order to have the best health, the spine must be functioning as it was designed in order for those cells tissues and organs to work properly. This fact simply makes sense. There was a recent study that showed that chiropractic treatment was the most cost effective procedure for helping back pain. But even that is short sighted. Chiropractic care helps your health because it restores proper nerve function. That has much more long reaching effects than just pain relief. The Reason Behind Muscle Pains And Aches

As people age, they begin become aware of an escalation of pains and aches from their joints and muscles. They seem to get stiff with age and normal pursuits such as bending down for the daily newspaper may make them flinch in discomfort.

This kind of soreness may be so deep that they really are certain it is emerging from deep inside their bones. Yet the real root cause of stiffness and soreness lies not inside the bones or joints, but in the muscle tissues and connective structures that move the joints.

When you can move forward from the hips and touch your toes with the fingertips, you may have good flexibility or range of movement of the hip joints. But is it possible to bend over very easily with a nominal output of energy and pressure? The physical effort used to flex a joint is just as significant as its range of workable action.

Diverse circumstances restrict the overall flexibility and efficiency of motion in specific muscles and joints. Within the knee and elbow, the bony shape itself imposes an obvious constraint. Regarding various other joints, for instance the ankle, hip, and back, the connective tissue and muscle determine the range of motion.

If individuals don’t routinely move their joints and muscles through their entire ranges of movement they slowly but surely continue to forfeit complete elasticity. Which is why as soon as individuals attempt to move a joint following an extended practice of inactivity, they encounter pain. Also, when they try to push a joint through its full range of motion after a prolonged period of not doing so they also experience pain. It is typically the routine of inactivity and deficiency in movement through the full range of movement possible which can cause the musculature and the connective tissues to become shorter.

The easiest suggestion to stop this process is of course, obtaining a regular activity plan. Then again, the error that a majority of people make is that they attempt to workout further than the prevailing functionality of their muscular tissues. Quite simply, they try to perform too much too fast. As a result they perhaps experience an injury or they endure too much pain throughout or right after the exercise.

This commonly finishes the persons original determination and in a short time they have reverted back to their original degree of exercise. The main issue in curtailing the inflexibility and soreness coming from old age or not enough physical fitness is the initiation of activity gradually.

It is rather essential to understand the limitations and ability of the muscle tissues as they are now to prevent tenderness or trauma. People will usually resume a workout routine or a physical activity that they have not completed for several years. In their minds they think they’re able to quite easily implement this sort of activity.

Typically their bodies are often not able to live up to the expectations. The people who are successful in returning to a consistent fitness regimen are those who set out gently and don’t rush to work up to a higher intensity. What matters most is physical exertion at a quantity that can be managed and only when that range has become easy, increasing the level of difficulty. Additionally, this complete plan should be practiced adhering to a stringent regimen.

Infant and Baby Helmets for Remolding Purposes

Cranial Molding Helmets

1.) Your Baby’s Head

If you have seen that your child is developing a persistent flat spot on the back or side of their head, it could be that they are developing what is called positional plagiocephaly. This is also refered to as “flattened head syndrome” by some individuals. This can happen when your baby sleeps in the same position, for example. Due to the soft nature of their skull, the shape of your baby’s head can take on an abnormal shape if left untreated.

2.) Cranial Molding Helmets

Special helmets are used and are provided by individuals known as licensed “orthotists”. These individuals can help your child achieve the results that they deserve. In essence, what happens is that your child will wear this special helmet and what happens is their head will be allowed to grow where there is an opening allowed. Their head will be held at the site where growth is currently normal. In this fashion then, the child will move toward a more “normal’ shape as time goes on.

Typically, what will be needed is that your child goes in for periodic check ups with your local orthotist. At this point the brace provider will be able to see where growth is taking place and allow more room in the helmet for growth where it is needed. Keeping up with your appointments is crucial when using a cranial molding helmet.

3.) Reasons Why You Need To Get This From an Orthotist

It is important to see a specialist in the bracing field for these helmets. Cranial molding helmets are considered to be “orthoses” and it is best to work with a licensed professional in the field. Other medical professionals may claim to provide this service to your child, but this is the time for you to be very critical of who is handling your baby’s head. The window for improvement of your baby’s head is limited and getting the job done right requires experience.

4.) Insurance & Cost of A Cranial Molding Helmet

The cost of the helmet may be totally covered by your insurance. How great is that!? This is not always the case and it basically comes down to the terms that are part of your health insurance plan. Many times, if the helmet is not covered at 100 %, then the majority of the helmet could be covered. When you go into see your local orthotist for your baby’s first appointment bring your insurance care, ID and prescription with you.

Note: This is health information. This article is not meant to diagnose your child with plagiocephaly or claim that they absolutely need a helmet. Speak with your local licensed orthotist to get medical advice regarding the use of these helmets.

Acupuncture for Pain Given the Scientific Stamp of Approval

Acupuncture has a great reputation when it comes to being an all natural way to stay healthy, now a new study finds that using acupuncture for pain is effective because it changes the way the brain perceives and processes pain signals. What’s more, they have the MRI scans to prove it.

A recent survey found that a full one quarter of U.S. adults have experienced pain that lasted more than a day so clearly lots of us are hurting and hoping for relief.

As one of the oldest healing practices in the world, acupuncture stimulates specific points on the body to regulate the flow of vital energy along pathways called meridians. Balancing the energy is believed to restore or maintain health. Today many people turn to acupuncture for pain… back pain being the most common complaint followed by pain in joints, neck or headaches.

To conduct the current research on acupuncture, a German research team used functional MRI scans to examine brain activity on 18 subjects who received a painful electrical current from a device fitted to their ankle. Acupuncture needles were placed on the subjects’ right side. Without the acupuncture there was activation of the pain processing area of the brain, but when the acupuncture needles were in place the levels of activation was significantly reduced. The subjects also showed reduced activation in parts of the brain that controls the expectation of pain.

The practice of acupuncture in the U.S. was pretty rare until the 1972 visit of President Richard M. Nixon to China. Since then there has been a lot of interest in the application of this ancient technique to Western medicine.

Acupuncture needles are now regulated by the FDA, just like surgical scalpels and syringes, so that they are manufactured properly and are kept sterile. So long as you visit a properly trained practitioner who is practising proper hygiene and using sterile, single use needles, complications and side effects are rare.

In fact, there are fewer adverse effects associated with acupuncture than with a good number of the drug treatments you’d get from the doctor. When it comes to pain, anti-inflammatory medications and steroid injections can offer relief, but at a cost to the body in terms of side effects.

Here are a few of the conditions where acupuncture holds promise when used as part of an overall treatment plan…

  • Nausea after an operation or due to chemotherapy or dental pain
  • Addiction
  • Stroke rehabilitation
  • Headache
  • Menstrual cramps
  • Tennis elbow
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Myofascial pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Low back pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Asthma

Not everyone is a good candidate to use acupuncture for pain relief, so be sure to talk with your own doctor before you give it a try.

  • If you’re pregnant, wait until after you deliver.
  • Some people with bleeding disorders or who are taking a blood thinner should proceed with care as your chances of bleeding or bruising at the needle sites increases.
  • If you have a pacemaker, avoid the types of acupuncture that involve applying mild electrical pulses to the needles as this can interfere with your device’s operation.

The Feldenkrais Method of Movement Education

The Feldenkrais method is becoming more known everyday. It is relatively recent as a method. Like so many other pioneers before him Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais developed his method after hurting himself. He had an accident during a football game resulting in damage to the knee. Dr. Feldenkrais consulted the best surgeons of his day to discover that the surgical methods of his day had a 50 percent chance of leaving him an invalid unable to walk on his damaged leg. This was not acceptable to him, so he began studying the human mechanics, cybernetics, systems theory, neuroscience, anatomy, physiology and many other disciplines that deal with our race.

Dr. Feldenkrais also had a black belt in Judo. He had met the founder of Judo Jigoro Kano and learnt from him. This knowledge of martial arts along with all the other disciplines gave him a unique perspective on the way that he moved and functioned. First and foremost Moshe was a scientist, he used his own body as a laboratory to test out all his theories. He explored many avenues and in time it led to the development of his method.

The Feldenkrais method is divided in table work called Functional Integration, this entails a Feldenkrais practitioner moving the body and limbs of a student lying on a low table in very precise, slow deliberate movements. I write student and not patient, because Moshe insisted that his method is not a therapy but a method to bring about learning.

It also has a group discipline that is called Awareness Through Movement, this is practiced in a hall with people lying comfortably on a mat following the verbal instructions of the practitioner. The whole method is held in these precise movements. Moshe called them lessons. Each lesson dealt with one area of our function and Moshe created more than one thousand lessons. These lessons based on human development. Moshe had observed baby infants from a few weeks old onwards and seen what stages they go through to be able to move, roll, orient themselves, crawl, sit and finally walk. He saw that these infants were always experimenting and always searching. The movements if the Awareness Through Movement lessons and like those initial baby explorations. They invite the student lying on his or her mat to explore and bring their attention to bear on how they execute the movement or lack of it.

Slowly with time, the students gains more possibilities of movements, as the nervous system is charting out lost territory on a map. As the map fills in slowly, the main roads, small by-roads and paths appear as well as the villages and towns and what was a big void on the map now is familiar territory. The Feldenkrais method gives us choice where we had non. We can after a few lessons do things, in two, three or four different ways and not one as before3,or 4 not one habitual way.

Are You At Risk To Develop Arthritis

Arthritis affects millions of people from all around the world. Unfortunately there is no known cure for arthritis. There are however steps that can be taken to prevent this painful disease. No matter what age, race, or even gender you could be at risk to develop arthritis. Infants and babies can also have arthritis. Most commonly arthritis is developed in those over forty. Some activities can increase the chance you will develop arthritis.

  • Playing sports is an activity that has been linked to the development of arthritis. Athletes who have had a previous injury should take special precautions to treat their injury in order to prevent it from becoming worse.
  • Your body weight may also be a factor that could cause arthritis pain. Those that are thirty pounds overweight could increase the development of arthritis in the body. Being overweight can put more pressure on the joints, thus increasing your chance of joint pain. This can be prevented by following a healthy diet and losing weight. Regular exercise will increase oxygen and blood flow to your joints.
  • Your genes can also dictate how much of a risk you have of developing arthritis in your lifetime. Unfortunately if your family has a history of arthritis then you will most likely have a much higher chance of developing the disease. When genetics are involved there is not a whole lot you can do to prevent arthritis, although a healthy lifestyle may very well increase your chances of prevention. Regular exercise and a strict diet may be something you should consider and of course you will want to consult your doctor first to see whether or not you are up to it.
  • Hormonal changes in women put them at a higher risk than men for the development of different kinds of arthritis. Your best bet to help control hormonal changes is to discuss this with your doctor to see what your best choice of action should be.
  • African-Americans are known to develop an arthritic disease called lupus. Caucasians on the other hand, are at a high risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis.

The best prevention measures you can take to avoid getting arthritis yourself is to have an active lifestyle and a good diet. Early prevention will give you the best chance of avoiding this disease. Stay healthy and commit to sticking to a healthy lifestyle and you may not only lower your chances of getting arthritis, you may prevent it from developing in the first place.

Inversion Tables, Back Pain and Excess Belly Fat

For many people who are carrying excess weight and many who aren’t, low back pain is a problem. Here are some statistics: 70% of people in the US will suffer from low back pain at some point in their lives, 5-10% of those will develop chronic low back pain, 60% of people in the US will suffer from neck pain at some point in their lives. If your low back pain is due to excess weight around the middle, dropping some that belly fat could do wonders for you, but depending on the state of your back, it might not. If you are suffering from back pain there are several solutions at your disposal. When you’re in pain the first person that comes to most people’s mind is the medical doctor or maybe the chiropractor. Both can be good options, but I’m going to tell you about an option that you may not have thought about. It’s an inversion table. Although you may have seen and heard of these before, these tables may not pop into your mind when your trying to find solutions to your back troubles. But these tables can help tremendously. I’m going to go into more detail about what these tables are, how they are used, why you could benefit from them, the types of inversion tables available, and precautions and contraindications when using these tables.

What is an inversion table and inversion table benefits:
Inversion tables are, as you might gather from the name, tables that invert you. You get on them in an upright position and then you rotate back until you are inverted to some degree. You can control how much you invert through various methods, some built into the device, some you improvise. You can invert anywhere from a few degrees past horizontal to hanging completely upside-down. These tables are obviously different from “anti-gravity” boots in that the boots only allow full 180 degree inversion. Like the “anti-gravity” boots you are held by your ankles. So what are the benefits of using one of these tables? For low back and neck suffers there are many. Pain relief from several causes of low back and neck pain is possible due to the fact that the spine is completely unloaded from the force of gravity and the intervertebral disks are relieved of normal pressures. Vertebra are spread apart and muscles are stretched out. Fluids are imbibed into the vertebral disks, hydrating them and creating as much space as possible between the vertebrae.

Some of the conditions that can be helped by using an inversion table include:

  • Bulging herniated disks
  • Degenerative joint disease and the associated pain
  • Facet syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Sacroiliac dysfunction
  • Spondylolithesis
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Edema in the legs
  • and Cervicogenic headaches

If your overweight you and have back or neck pain there is a chance you could be suffering from one of these conditions. Even if your not, and only have low back pain due to overworked or improperly used muscles, the inversion table could still benefit you.

What to look for:
The design of the tables is generally the same for all of them. You strap in at the ankles and the table is balanced so that you can lean back easily and smoothly until you have reached your desired degree of inversion. Then you just hang there for a specified amount of time according to the protocols of inversion table therapy. There should be instructions on how to use an inversion table included with whatever table you purchase. Pay attention to these protocols regarding how may times per week, how long per session, etc… Like anything else regarding your body, you must work into things slowly to give your body time to adapt. There are a number of inversion table providers and a number of outlets to purchase from. So which one to choose? The first thing you must be concerned with is quality. When it comes to a product like an inversion table, quality will be key to a successful outcome when using the table. Quality, here, means performance and safety, which relates to the materials and construction of the product. Look for tables of high quality because you don’t want to have the table break while your upside-down or have trouble getting into and out of the table. Some of the leading brands are: Teeter, Ironman, Paradigm, Stamina, and Health Mark.

Contraindications and precautions:
One of the problems with inversion therapy is that once you return to an upright position, it won’t be long before the pain comes back along with the same stresses that inverting removed. With continued use the amount of time you feel relief should increase, but there is another necessary ingredient that needs to be included when striving for a pain free back and neck, exercise. Strengthening and stretching the muscles of the core, hips, shoulders, and neck cannot be overlooked as these muscles will allow you to properly deal with the forces that caused you to be in pain in the first place. Losing excess fat is also a big step in the right direction for dealing with back and neck pain. There are some contraindications and precautions to using these tables that must be taken into consideration before you decide to get on. Let someone know when your using the table in case something happens or you get stuck upside down. If there is no one else around you can rig up a safety mechanism that allows you to pull yourself out of a bad spot. However, anytime you use a table under your own direction you are doing so at your own risk. Children under 14 should not use the table without a doctors supervision. If you’ve had spinal surgery in the past, it’s very important that you consult a doctor before inverting yourself especially for an extended period. Strict contraindications include: anti-coagulant use, osteoporosis, fractures, infections of the ears/eyes/nose/and throat, glaucoma or retinal detachment, uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart and circulatory problems, history of stroke or transient ishemic attacks, pregnancy, hiatal hernias, and total hip or knee replacements. It’s also important to know that these tables have a weight limit, which for most of them is anything over 300 pounds. For those of you who may be suffering from one of the medical conditions mentioned and/or you are over 300 pounds, don’t worry, there are alternatives.

Other methods for dealing with back and neck pain include: medical doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, traction tables and devices, and some newer devices like the “Back Bubble” which is a device which works for the low back and mid back only by using your own lower body as traction weight without pulling directly on the lower body joints (weight limit on this is 350 lbs) and some devices like the “Trekke Lumbar Lift” that allow for ambulatory unloading which allows for unrestricted movement while unloading the spine, combining traction of the vertebrae with exercise. Medical doctors often times only treat the symptoms and do not attempt to treat the cause of the problem, although there are MDs who do address more than just the pain, look for these kinds of medical doctors as you can get the best of both worlds with them. If they just offer muscle relaxers and pain medication, you should probably keep looking. Some MDs will refer you to a physical therapist who will employ several beneficial techniques to help you. Chiropractors are also a good option as they will employ many techniques similar to physical therapists and have devices like traction tables to assist them in treating you. Some chiropractors employ questionable techniques, if you have any concerns ask the chiropractor, and if your not satisfied with the answer you receive, look for another.

Proteolytic Enzymes and Natural Pain Relief

Proteolytic enzymes are being widely used by many health practitioners these days to help with such diverse conditions as autoimmune conditions, heart disease, inflammation and plaque.
Even cancer treatment has been suggested by some doctors as a possible target. How can we learn more about these powerful enzymes and what they are?

Chemical reactions which occur in living organisms are facilitated by proteins known as enzymes. All the various systems of the body, including muscles, cells, organs, bones and tissues, are controlled by enzymes.
Moreover, enzymes control the immune and digestive systems, liver, bloodstream and kidneys. Enzymes are required for proper functioning of all of the body’s hormones as well as the vitamins and minerals we consume. And all of the body’s metabolic functions are dependent on enzymes for proper functioning; this includes immune systems, energy level, stamina, use of vitamins and minerals, and more.

The body’s production of proteolytic enzymes is diverted when we eat enzyme dead foods (ie., cooked or processed). This diversion’s consequences can be enormous. And, conversely, the benefits of proteolytic enzyme supplementation are profound. By supplementing with these proteolytic enzymes for digestion with meals, it is possible to decrease stress on the body thus eliminating its need to divert resources.

Following are other benefits provided by proteolytic formula supplementation.

  • Reduced inflammation: The body’s natural response to injury is inflammation. However, the healing process can be inhibited by excessive inflammation. Proteolytic enzymes act to neutralize inflammation biochemicals, lowering them to levels where the repair, synthesis and regeneration of tissues can occur in the affected area. Conditions such as Alzheimer’s, heart health and cancer prevention can be immediately impacted by this reduction of inflammation. Similarly, benefits to sprains, arthritis, strains and surgery can be sped up.
  • Cleansing debris from the blood: Organic debris found in the lymph and circulatory system is primarily controlled by these enzymes and their ability to “digest” such agents. The process is merely improved by supplementation.
  • Reduction of clot risk by dissolving blood fibrin: the risk of stroke is greatly reduced by the optimization of blood flow in the circulatory system. By using proteolytic enzymes on protracted fights the risk of clots in one’s legs can be minimized.
  • Immune system maximization: Enzymes are the primary vehicle used by the immune system for battling invaders. The immune system’s ability to do its job is greatly improved by the use of supplements
  • Elimination of viruses, fungi, mold and bacteria: These invaders are digested in the bloodstream when supplements of Proteolytic enzymes are taken between meals.
  • And finally: Symptoms of MS, the detoxing of the blood and invaders in the lungs can all be addressed by a well-designed formula of proteolytic enzyme supplement.

The incredible benefits to health of proteolytic enzymes is clear which, in turn, explains their rapidly growing appearance in many health food stores.
